Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) benchmark index added 1.3 percent after the market reopened after a four-day break. The region’s largest lender Qatar National Bank climbed 2.9 percent and Industries Qatar ended up 1.8 percent.
Last Week, Qatar announced its biggest budget in five years. Qatar said it would spend 1.9 percent more in 2020 than this year, outlining a QR210.5bn ($57.81bn) budget to complete infrastructure projects including facilities for the 2022 soccer World Cup.
QNA reported Indices of all sectors ended in green zone today. QSE Total Return Index gained 1.29 percent to 19,273.28 points. QSE Al Rayan Islamic Index increased 0.87 percent to 2,336.38 points and QSE All Share Index added 1.51 percent to 3,111.68 points.
