Doha, Qatar: The Cultural Village Foundation - Katara announced the details of the 9th edition of the Katara European Jazz Festival, scheduled to take place from November 12 to 14.
This year’s festival will feature musical ensembles from nine European countries, presenting a diverse array of performances that showcase the richness and variety of European musical traditions, offering audiences an immersive artistic experience that harmoniously weaves together the sounds of East and West.
General Manager of Katara, Dr. Khalid bin Ibrahim Al Sulaiti, stated that the festival witnessed remarkable growth and expansion in recent years, becoming one of the most prominent musical events in Qatar and the region. He affirmed Katara’s ongoing commitment to strengthening its position as a global cultural destination that celebrates art and creativity in all their forms.
Speaking at a press conference held on Monday in the presence of ambassadors of the participating European countries, Dr. Al Sulaiti emphasized that through this festival and its many other events, Katara continues to embody its cultural and human mission as a bridge for dialogue between nations and a platform for mutual understanding through the arts.
He added that music is a universal language that unites rather than divides, expressing the shared human spirit that transcends cultural and linguistic boundaries. He expressed hope that this ninth edition of the festival will be filled with music, beauty, and creative human encounters that bring people together under the banner of art and inspiration.
For their part, ambassadors from the participating European countries expressed their pride in participating in the festival, noting that this musical celebration offers a valuable opportunity to explore the diversity of musical traditions, fostering cultural exchange and artistic dialogue among nations.
