Doha, Qatar: Kuwait's Ministry of Interior announced on Tuesday, June 2, 2026, the arrest of three fugitives who had escaped from correctional facilities.
A joint intensive security operation helped authorities locate and apprehend the prisoners.
"The arrests were the result of a rapid security response and effective field coordination, represented by the General Department of Criminal Investigations, with support from Special Security Forces and the Police Aviation Wing," the ministry said in a press statement.

In a video posted by the Ministry, authorities can be seen coordinating a security operation, tracking the fugitives, identifying their precise location and then arresting them.
It also noted that the prisoners were found in possession of two firearms, which were dealt with as per established security procedures.

The arrest comes within 24 hours of a 'Wanted' post issued by the MOI, announcing the escape of two Kuwaiti and one non-Kuwaiti inmates from correctional facilities.
