Manama, Bahrain: Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, HE Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani, met today in Manama with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the sisterly Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah Al Saud, on the sidelines of the joint ministerial meeting of the foreign ministers of the Gulf Cooperation Council states with the United States of America.

During the meeting, they reviewed the relations of cooperation between the two countries and ways to support and enhance them, and discussed the latest regional developments, particularly the diplomatic efforts being made to enhance security and stability in the region, following the signing of the memorandum of understanding between the United States of America and the Islamic Republic of Iran.

His Excellency the Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs affirmed, during the meeting, the State of Qatar's full support for the ongoing negotiations between the American and Iranian sides, to reach sustainable solutions to the outstanding issues through dialogue and peaceful means, which would enhance regional security, contribute to opening new horizons for cooperation, development, and prosperity, and achieve the common interests of the people of the region and the world.
