Qatar Meteorology warns of strong winds, high seas this weekend

Doha, Qatar: The Qatar Meteorology Department has warned of strong winds and high seas today, June 25, 2026, with blowing dust expected in some areas during the daytime.

The strong winds are expected to continue into early Friday morning, with rough sea conditions offshore at the beginning of the day.

Temperatures are forecast to remain very hot with minimum and maximum ranging between 31°C and 44°C.

On Thursday, northwesterly winds are expected at 12-22 knots, gusting to 32 knots during the daytime. On Friday, northwesterly winds will range from 4-14 knots, with gusts reaching 24 knots. Further, on Saturday, winds will be northwesterly-northeasterly at 3 to 13 knots, gusting to 21 knots in some areas.

Wave heights are forecast at 3-6ft on Thursday, rising to 10ft offshore, while seas on Friday will range from 2-4ft, rising to 8ft early in the day.
