Doha, Qatar: The Amir HH Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani received a telephone call today from HE Narendra Modi, Prime Minister of the Republic of India, who conveyed his greeting on the occasion of Eid Al-Fitr.
During the call, the Indian Prime Minister condemned the brutal Iranian aggression against the Ras Laffan Industrial Area, expressing his country's solidarity with the State of Qatar in confronting this aggression and commending Qatar's role as an international mediator contributing to the promotion of regional and international peace and security.
The Indian Prime Minister also expressed his gratitude to His Highness the Amir for the State of Qatar's care for the Indian community residing in the country. For his part, His Highness the Amir expressed his thanks to the Prime Minister of the Republic of India, praising the bilateral relations that unite the two friendly countries.
The call also included a review of several regional and international issues of common interest.
