Qatar Museums

Qatar Museums in collaboration with Years of Culture brings together the cultures of Qatar, Canada and Mexico through three evenings of interactive activities, cultural experiences and family-friendly programmes.

Visitors of all ages can discover the traditions, creativity and heritage of this year’s partner countries through a range of engaging activities designed to offer a fun and enriching cultural experience.

Coastal and Maritime Cultural Heritage in QatarAugust 20, 2026 | 9:30am -12pm
National Museum of Qatar Auditorium

Archaeologists and heritage specialists will explore Qatar’s coastal landscapes, maritime traditions and historic communities, with experts from Qatar Museums’ Archaeology Department and UNESCO sharing insights into the research, documentation, conservation and sustainable management of underwater cultural heritage.

National Museum of Qatar, Floor 1 - Learning Studio

Discover what happens behind the scenes at a museum. Designed for ages 9–18, this interactive summer programme gives young participants a hands-on look at museum careers, from conservation and archives to exhibitions, visitor services and digital experiences.

Through fun activities and real-world experiences, children will discover how museums preserve and share Qatar’s cultural heritage while exploring the people and stories that bring them to life.

National Museum of Qatar AI Digital Centre

Students aged 11–14 can explore Qatar’s rich astronomical heritage through an engaging traditional astronomy workshop out together by the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, through Studio 5, in collaboration with the National Museum of Qatar.

Participants will learn about the Mizwala and traditional astronomical knowledge while using digital fabrication techniques to design and build their own observation prototypes.

The workshop is free to attend, but registration is required.

FIVB Volleyball Boys’ U17 World Championship 2026

Doha will host the FIVB Volleyball Boys’ U17 World Championship Qatar 2026, featuring 20 teams from around the world.

Paw Patrol Show by NickelodeonUntil August 29 (starts August 20) | 5pm-8pm
Mall of Qatar, Oasis Stage

Families can join Chase, Marshall, Rubble, Skye and Ryder for a fun-filled, action-packed experience featuring their favourite Adventure Bay heroes.

The event will feature three free live shows daily, giving children the chance to watch the PAW Patrol pups take on exciting adventures on stage.

Visitors can also enjoy free Meet & Greet sessions, with 20 families accommodated per session.

Each session lasts 30 minutes, offering young fans an opportunity to meet their favourite PAW Patrol characters up close and enjoy an unforgettable family experience.

Poster Design Competition for Qatar ExxonMobil Open 2027Until August 23, 2026

The Qatar ExxonMobil Open is inviting artists, designers, illustrators, photographers and digital creatives to create an original artwork capturing the spirit of the tournament.

The winning design will become the event’s official visual identity and be adapted across a range of tournament applications.

The winner will receive QAR 15,000 in cash plus a one-year membership at Liwan Design Studios and Labs. Individual and collaborative submissions are welcome.
