Doha, Qatar: Students from the Ideal Indian School (IIS) Gavel Club delivered an exceptional performance at the recently held interschool speech competition, “The Qatar Talk 2025.”
Four speakers, Joyal, Afrin Salma, Mohammad Mustafa S of Grade 12 and Samridhi Panwar of Grade IX represented the school across two major categories: Tall Tales and Inspirational Speech.
In the Final Round, Afrin Salma of IIS emerged as the Champion in the Inspirational Speech category, securing the top position and receiving a trophy, a cash prize of QR3,000, and several additional honours. Her achievement stands as a milestone for both the Gavel Club and the school community.
The trophy was presented by H E Vipul, Ambassador of India to Qatar. The Principal Shaik Shamim Saheb, the Gavel Club Counsellor, Sajid Shamim, and the Teacher In-charge, Anwar Sadath, extended their congratulations to Afrin Salma.
