Miami Economic Tour expo opens today

DOHA: The exhibition accompanying the economic tour in Miami, Florida will begin today. It will shed light on the Qatari cultures and traditions as well as the country’s economic capabilities.

It will also present the major developmental projects the country is undertaking to implement Qatar National Vision 2030 and hosting the World Cup 2022.

There will be a number of Qatari institutions that will take part in the event such as the Ministry of Economy and Commerce, Supreme Committee for Delivery and Legacy, Qatar Investment Authority, Qatar Airways, BEIN Sports, Doha Film Institute, and Qatar Foundation (QF). A large number of American companies who have investment projects in Qatar will also be present at the exhibition. The companies include Exxon Mobil, Occidental Petroleum, and Boeing.

The exhibition will be organized in all the major cities included in the Qatari economic tour of the United States. In addition to Miami, the exhibition will include Washington DC, both North and South Carolina.

The Ministry of Economy and Commerce’s section in the exhibition will look to showcase the strengths of the Qatari economy as well as the depth of economic ties between the two countries. The ministry’s section will present interactive infographic designs that focus on these aspects.

QF’s section will also use infographic designs, but to discuss its own educational and scientific research programmes, and how they aid the State of Qatar’s development.

Doha Film Institute’s (DFI) section will shed light on its latest movies, as well as the awards won by the institute’s Ajyal Film Festival.

American companies will also have their own, individual sections dedicated to the investment partnerships and projects they have in the State of Qatar. The companies will also present the biggest achievements of their time in Qatar.

The exhibition a host of other activities that emphasize how Qatar ‘s economy has become one of the most important in the region. The exhibition will for example have small, creative models of six stadiums that will host the World Cup 2022. Doha Film Institute also produced a film that focuses Msheireb Downtown Doha project.
