Doha: Qatari duo of Rashed Nawaf and Mashari Nawaf won the International Tennis Federation (ITF) Junior Tour 2023 doubles title at the Khalifa International Tennis and Squash Complex.
In the final match of the tournament, the Nawaf brothers defeated the US pair of Ronit Karki and Patel Araf 6-3, 6-1.
In the singles category Rashed Nawaf won the second place after losing the final match to Russia’s Dmitry Bessonov 6-4, 5-7, 1-6.
After finishing second, Rashid said: "It was a difficult match against the first-seeded Russian Bessonov. I won the first set, then lost the second and tried to come back in the last set, but couldn’t.”
