Doha, Qatar: Whether developing leadership skills, exploring creative talents, staying active through sport, or discovering new passions, people across Qatar will find something to inspire them at Education City this summer.

From June to August, Qatar Foundation (QF) is offering a diverse range of camps, workshops, classes, and activities that provide unique opportunities for learning, connection, and personal growth. Interested participants can browse programs and register through the Education City App or website.

“At Qatar Foundation, we believe learning and personal growth should continue far beyond the classroom and throughout the year,” said Hamad S. Al-Shaiba, Head of Sports Programming, QF. “The activities running throughout the summer reflect Education City’s unique ability to bring together diverse opportunities that inspire curiosity, creativity, leadership, and well-being in young people.

“By offering accessible and inclusive experiences for learners of all ages and abilities, we aim to help every participant discover new interests, build future-ready skills, develop confidence and resilience, and form meaningful connections.

“We want Education City to be a place where young people can explore their potential, pursue their passions, and make the most of every opportunity to learn and discover.”

Football, badminton, swimming, gym, volleyball, squash and basketball facilities are available to book throughout the summer across QF’s indoor venues, while specialized sports classes, including gymnastics and futsal, are also running, offering activities for all ages and abilities.

As part of its summer offerings, QF’s Pre-University Education (PUE) is hosting another edition of the Mukhayamna Program. Organized by PUE’s Student Affairs and Community Engagement department, the camp offers courses in sports, coding, business, quantum computing, and leadership development, providing students with a vibrant, inclusive, and enriching learning experience.

Meanwhile, at QF partner university Virginia Commonwealth University School of the Arts in Qatar, young people can explore 3D modeling, 3D printing, and creative-making processes that transform digital concepts into physical objects. Another course, ‘Summer Art & Design Program for High School Students’, provides an overview of four of the undergraduate degree programs offered at the university.

This summer, QF's Creating Pathways Program is opening its training to girls aged 7–12, who are invited to train like athletes in a dynamic two-week camp. The Creating Pathways Summer Camp offers five elite sports – track and field, volleyball, basketball, tennis, and fencing – alongside swimming, stretching, and nutrition sessions. Coached by female coaches in a safe, girls-only environment, the camp is designed to build movement skills, confidence, and a lifelong love of sport from day one.

At Al-Mujadilah: Center & Mosque for Women, based in Education City, the two-week Khawla Summer Camp will invite girls aged 9 –12 to explore the values of mercy and compassion through reflection, play, and teamwork. The center will also host ‘The Colorful Box: Lunchbox Preparation Workshop’, a one-day session where mothers can learn how to prepare balanced and nutritious meals, while their daughters discover how to choose healthy ingredients. Another one-day workshop, ‘Why Did I Choose That? Understanding Your Decisions’, will give young Muslim women an opportunity to reflect on how their values, priorities, and surroundings shape the choices they make in everyday life.

QF’s Lawh Wa Qalam: M. F. Husain Museum will host a series of workshops over the coming months, including metal embossing, printmaking, embroidery, and painting. Meanwhile, Mathaf: Arab Museum of Modern Art will present ‘Beat the Heat – Mathaf Summer Camp’, transforming the museum into a vibrant space for creativity, learning, and community engagement.

All these activities above and many others can be explored further on the Education City App, which is available to download for free from Google Play and the Apple Store, and at https://educationcity.qa/
