Doha: Al Rayyan announced the signing of national team’s star Zarko Markovic ahead of the new handball season starting later this month.
Al Rayyan have roped in Markovic from Al Gharafa, to strengthen the side as he is one of the distinguished players on national circuit. Markovic was one of the key players of Qatari team during their phenomenal second finish in the 2015 World Championship.
Markovic, in a statement posted on the club’s official account on Twitter, expressed his happiness to join Al Rayyan.
“I will do everything in my power to serve the team and help my side winning titles and championships for the fans,” he said.
The contract with Markovic comes as Al Rayyan look to regain their position as one of the top handball teams in the country
