Following all the norms of social distancing, DPS-Modern Indian School virtually celebrated the 6th International Day of Yoga on June 21 and 22. The celebration, conducted, through the Zoom platform, was in tune with this year’s theme ‘Yoga For Health and Yoga at Home’ and educated the students and parents about the benefits of Yoga in enhancing not only the physical health but also the mental health during this tough period.
The session witnessed an enthusiastic participation of the parents and the students. The parents of the students of class Nursery and Preparatory were invited for the online celebration apart from that students of Grade IX who participated in it.
A few asanas, suggested in the Common Yoga Protocol by the Government of India, were demonstrated by the P E teachers, and the attendees, following the instructions, performed them.
