Doha, Qatar: The activities of the “Ahlan Ramadan” programme have been launched under the organisation of the Sheikh Abdulla Bin Zaid Al Mahmoud Islamic Cultural Center.
The programme includes two main initiatives: the “Ramadan Forum,” which introduces Islamic culture, and the “Ahlan Ramadan” programme for Muslim communities in various languages. The programme features lectures and religious exhortations tailored to different communities.
Lectures began at the Sheikh Hamad bin Jassim bin Jaber Al Thani Mosque, where Sheikh Ahmed Jabr Al-Dosari spoke about the connection between the pillars of faith and Ramadan, attended by 85 English speakers. At the same mosque, preacher Mohammed Al-Haj addressed 89 attendees, discussing various aspects of Ramadan from jurisprudential, cultural, and behavioural perspectives.
The lectures at the mosque will continue every Thursday and Saturday throughout the holy month, covering diverse faith-related topics. In addition, the center is organising lectures at the Al-Manea Mosque, Ibrahim Al-Khalil Mosque, and Kull Mosque. All lectures are delivered in English, in line with the target audience.
