DOHA: The second round of Qatar Superbike will take place on November 21 and 22 under floodlights at Losail International Circuit.

Defending champion Alex Cudlin and runners-up from last season Nasser Al Malki will be looking for points as both riders have confirmed their participation.

The two riders shared wins in the first round held at the same venue in October.

Though Australian rider Cudlin is still finding his way with the set up of his QMMF Kawasaki ZX-10R, Al Malki of Qatar will be looking to recapture dominating form he exhibited in the first round following his trip to Europe for the Spanish Championship

Al Malki just returned from Spain where he took part in the Valencia round at the 2013 Spanish Championship.

Alex Cudin’s team-mate Nina Prinz, is in third place with 29 points.

In the first round,  the German female rider suffered a crashed in the practice sessions and had to ride her old Suzuki bike.

Despite the crash, Prinz achieved an excellent fourth and third place in the two races.

For this coming round, Nina will be seeking to compete with Cudlin and Al Malki for points.

Qatar’s Mishal Al Naimi also has 29 points in the standings and shares the third position with Prinz.

Free practice and qualifying practices will be held tomorrow (8:10pm and 10:55pm respectively).

The two races of this round will be held on Friday at 6:20pm and at 8:50pm respectively.

During the race weekend, Losail Circuit will also stage the sixth and last round of Petronas Asia Road Racing Championship.

“This will be the fourth year that the Petronas Asia Road Racing Championship has had the privilege of holding the curtain closing round at the Losail International Circuit. Over the past four years, we have witnessed a lot of growth for motorcycle racing in Qatar. These developments are anchored by the Qatar Motor and Motorcycle Federation (QMMF) at the world class Losail International Circuit,” Ron Hogg, Director of Two Wheels Motor Racing, the race promoters of the Petronas FIM Asia Road Racing Championship, said.
