DPS-MIS Junior Girls team bags runner-up trophy in Qatar Preparatory School Debate Nationals

Doha: The DPS Modern Indian School debaters added a feather in their cap as  its Junior Girls team bagged the runner-up trophy in the Qatar Preparatory School Debate Nationals held on April 10 via Zoom.

DPS-MIS Girls team comprising Antara Alurkar, Vaidehi Rogiye and Drishti Tibrewal secured the runner-up position after an enervating debate session in the Grand Final of the Open Category. 
Drishti Tibrewal was also declared the Best Speaker in the Open Grand Final.

DPS-MIS Girls topped in both the leagues and qualified for the National Championship.   

In the individual Speakers’ Open Category Amishi Negi bagged the 1st place followed by Anah Merchant in 2nd, Vaidehi Rogiye in 3rd,  Drishti Tibrewal in 4th and Manjushree Magesh and Antara Alurkar tied for 10th place.

The coach Jaya Majumder played a key role in helping the debaters achieve this height. 

All the motions proved  very challenging to the participants which improved the analytical and critical thinking skills of the debaters.
