Doha, Qatar: The Civil Defense Council affirmed the stability of the environmental situation, adding that there are no any indicators of air or marine pollution in Qatar.
It added it had reviewed a report by the Ministry of Environment and Climate Change on the environmental status in the State of Qatar.
The Civil Defence Council held a meeting chaired by Major General Mohammed Jassim Al-Sulaiti, Director-General of Public Security and Deputy Chairman of the Civil Defence Council, during which developments in the overall situation were reviewed, along with reports from the relevant authorities on the levels of preparedness across a number of vital sectors.
The Council affirmed the continuation of environmental monitoring and surveillance efforts, and the readiness to respond immediately to any potential emergency in coordination with the concerned authorities.
