MES Indian School continues with e-learning-enabled distance mode of teaching for the students of all classes. The decision was taken as a precaution against coronavirus and an extended course of action for a long-term perspective to impart learning until the end of the academic session in June.
With this adoption of e-learning, MES Indian School has ensured uninterrupted learning takes place through parent portal and the e-learning programme for its students, who are currently staying at home as per the directives of the Ministry of Education and Higher Education as a precautionary measure to prevent the virus spreading of COVID -19.
As part of the efforts, lessons are uploaded on the e-learning portal wherein notes, reading materials, worksheets, homework and other learning resources are made available on the Parent Portal in formats of PDF and JPG.
Teachers are delivering real-time online lessons and interact with students face-to-face as in a normal classroom. They are also made available to give responses to students’ queries and provide adequate guidelines through the WhatsApp platform. Efforts are being made to cover the notes for lessons meant for all classes including KG and particularly for Classes X and XII.
A team of school officials comprising Heads of Sections, Heads of Departments and senior teachers ensure that the lesson-notes and other assignments earmarked for completion for the term are dispatched.
“In the light of the prevailing scenario resulting out of the outbreak of  COVID-19, MES is fully prepared for a long run with uninterrupted learning sessions including lessons for co-scholastic activities like Physical Education, Art, Music and Moral Education along with all their scholastic subjects . Further, the past two weeks of shutdown saw the unprecedented blanket switch to e-learning, with no major disruptions. Such measures through a framed timetable are initiated, enabling students to continue the process of education online mode which earned great response from parents,” said Hameeda Kadar, the school principal.
