MES conducts inter-class debate contest

Doha: As its maiden initiative, the Middle Section of MES Indian School in association with the Department of English organized an inter-class debate competition for the students of all divisions of Class-V.

Held on April 29, the debate focused on the topic “Is it necessary to enforce uniforms for school children?’’ and was condcuted through the Zoom platform. Selection for the final round was made based on the results of the preliminary round conducted earlier by the English teachers from their respective classes.

Two students from each class were selected for the final presentation. There were 12 participants speaking for and against the motion. The moderator of the debate was Jency George. All the participants were of equal caliber and contested enthusiastically. Hameeda Kadar, Principal, MES Indian School, congratulated the team of budding debaters for their enthusiasm in oratorical skills.

Mohammed Ilias, Head of Boys’ Section and Vice Principal (officiating), Jas M.A. Headmaster, Middle school and D.A.S Rex, Co-ordinator, Department of English, Boys’ Section felicitated the participants. Jency George, Sreejith K.N., Praveesh Jose, Anfarsafiyulla, Vijaya Sharmila and Shravya Manjrekar were the teachers involved in coordinating the event. All the participants were given E-Certificates in appreciation of their participation and efforts.
