Doha: Qatar’s top beach volleyball pair of Cherif Younousse and Ahmed Tijan yesterday clinched silver medal at the Sochi 4-star stop on the 2021 FIVB Beach Volleyball World Tour.

The fourth-seeded pair from Qatar fell to the Polish pair of Piotr Kantor and Bartosz Losiak 1-2 with a 21-17, 21-23, 10-15 score-line in what was their fourth back-to-back final.

Their World Tour showcase as a team now features two gold, three silver and three bronze medals.

Meanwhile, the bronze went 14th-seeded Christiaan Varenhorst and Steven van de Velde of the Netherlands.
