Doha: Under the auspices and presence of H E Ali bin Ahmed Al Kuwari, Minister of Commerce and Industry, the Ministry organised the annual ceremony to celebrate its achievements under the theme “2019 Harvest.”
During the meeting, the Ministry celebrated its accomplishment across various sectors and affiliated administrative units, highlighting its priorities and future projects that will be implemented in 2020, in addition to honoring its leadership and employees across various departments.
The annual meeting brought together Sultan bin Rashid Al-Khater, Undersecretary of the Ministry, Saleh Majid Al-Khulaifi, Acting Undersecretary for Trade Affairs, Mohammed Hassan Al-Maliki, Acting Undersecretary for Industry Affairs, and Sheikh Jassim bin Jabr Al Thani, Acting Undersecretary for Consumer Affairs, in addition to department managers, heads and employees.
Through this annual initiative, the Ministry aims to achieve a number of objectives such as promoting cooperation and communication between the Ministry’s leadership and employees and enhancing the values of loyalty and belonging among its staff members while showcasing the distinguished achievements of its various administrative units to further promote professionalism and the provision of quality services.
Speaking on this occasion, Minister Al Kuwari said he was proud of the Ministry’s team, which includes senior officials and highly experienced and skilled employees who have been working hard to consolidate the Ministry’s achievements and successes and to support Qatar and its institutions in their journey towards achieving the National Vision 2030. He said the annual meeting ceremony reflects the joint efforts undertaken by the Ministry’s various units and departments towards achieving its goals and improving its performance.
Touching on Qatar’s accomplishments, the Minister said the Ministry of Commerce and Industry was keen on strengthening the foundations which Qatar has built to achieve its national economic goals in line with its vision. He said the Ministry has developed its 2019-2022 strategic plan in line with the goals outlined in the Qatar National Vision 2030 and the National Development Strategy 2018-2022 and has established specific plans for its priorities.
The annual ceremony featured a video presentation covering the key achievements by the Ministry’s various sectors and its administrative units throughout 2019, and a review of its strategic plans for a real breakthrough and transformation in 2020. The ceremony also featured presentations on future projects by the Ministry’s three sectors in addition to plans being undertaken by the various departments involved in institutional development.
