Doha: Afghan Ambassador to the state of Qatar, Abdul Hakim Dalili has died of cardiac arrest, Afghan media reported today.
“The demise of Abdul Hakim Dalili, our ambassador in Doha and my close colleague, diplomat and academic, is a great loss and painful news. The late Dalili played an active role in improving relations between Afghanistan and Qatar, and in particular in the peace talks. My condolences to his family and all his colleagues, Mohammed Haneef Atmar, Afghanistan Foreign Minister said in a Tweet.
The office of the High Council for National Reconciliation has termed Dalili’s demise as a big loss for Afghanistan and the ongoing peace process.
