Doha: The State of Qatar condemned the military coup in the Republic of Guinea-Bissau, calling on all parties to avoid escalation, to prioritize wisdom, and to work towards resolving differences through dialogue and peaceful means, in a way that ensures the preservation of state institutions and respect for the rule of law.
In a statement today, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed the State of Qatar’s hope for the restoration of the political and constitutional path in Guinea-Bissau, in a way that fulfills the aspirations of its friendly people for development and prosperity, and contributes to strengthening regional security, especially in the Sahel region.
