DOHA: Qatar's Ministry of Interior announced a temporary traffic closure of the tunnel at Mesaimeer Interchange (Exit 33) this weekend as part of road works.
According to the ministry, the closure will take place according to the following schedule:
-Friday, July 31, 2026: From 2am to 10am
-Saturday, Aug. 1, 2026: From 2am to 7am
The ministry advised motorists to plan their journeys accordingly, use alternative routes where possible, and follow traffic signs and instructions to ensure smooth traffic flow during the closure.
