Doha: Officials from the Ministry of Environment and Climate Change on Friday seized a vehicle for entering a meadow and harming the environment.
On its Twitter account, the ministry stated that its officials on environmental monitoring patrols seized a vehicle inside a meadow, in violation of Law No. 32 of 1995 regarding the prevention of harm to the plant environment and its components.

The officials took the necessary legal measures against the violator.
The Law No. (32) of 1995 stipulates that it is prohibited for cars, equipment, and machinery to drive randomly through plant environment areas, as vehicle passages are limited to the roads designated for them, and such an offense is punishable by law.

The ministry called on the public not to drive vehicles in areas of natural plant environments, including meadows and reserves, and to use paved roads instead in order to protect the environment of Qatar.
