Doha, Qatar: The Ministry of Education and Higher Education, through its Educational Affairs sector, has issued a circular regulating operations in public schools during the end-of-semester examination periods for the first and second semesters of the 2025-2026 academic year.

The move is intended to provide a safe and supportive learning environment for students and to increase flexibility for administrative and teaching staff.

In a statement, the ministry said the circular supports schools' efforts to create an appropriate atmosphere for students taking exams and to ensure that assessment, grading and certificate issuance are conducted to the highest standards of quality and accuracy.

The circular allows students to leave school immediately after completing their exams to reduce crowding and improve movement within school buildings.

It requires schools to complete grading, recording of marks and issuance of certificates within the specified timelines while maintaining rigorous quality controls in correction and review processes.

School employees are permitted to leave two hours before the official end of the workday during both examination periods, provided that these early departures are not combined with breastfeeding hours or other reduced-schedule arrangements and that total daily early departures and authorized absences combined do not exceed two hours while the circular is in effect.

The ministry stressed that the measures are designed to enable schools to carry out their duties efficiently during exam periods, while ensuring an educational environment that meets students' needs and preserves the stability and quality of the educational process.
