Doha: The Qatar Chamber (QC) General Manager, Saleh bin Hamad Al Sharqi (pictured) said that Qatar and Turkey are associated with fast-growing cooperation relations that cover all fields, especially in commercial and economic aspects, emphasizing that reinforcing cooperation in labour fields would further boost these relations.
Qatar Chamber participated in the meeting of the Qatar-Turkey Joint Committee for Labour Affairs held via video conferencing on November 24.
Saleh bin Hamad Al Sharqi represented the Chamber at the webinar alongside with the Director of Legal Affairs Dept. Abdulaziz Al Kuwari. He said that Qatari private sector highly welcomes the Turkish trained and experienced workforce, who added that holding a joint employment fair would play a significant role in bringing more Turkish labour to the Qatari market.
Al Sharqi stressed that cooperation through Qatar-Turkey Joint Committee for Labour Affairs would open new vistas for cooperation in economic and commercial fields and would pave way for establishing more commercial alliances and Turkish factories in Qatar, assuring that this would take the two countries’ relations to advanced levels.
He said the trade between both countries has increased by 136 percent from $908m in 2016 to $2.2bn in 2019, while it hit $1.2bn in first half of 2020.
