Doha, Qatar: The Ministry of Interior urged parents and guardians to strictly adhere to appropriate protection measures when driving with children in vehicles.
The Ministry in a social media post stated that parents should ensure children aged 1-3 years are seated in a dedicated child car seat and secured with seat belts according to manufacturer's instructions.
It noted that children aged 3 to 10 years should be seated in the back seat, while children above 10 years may be allowed to sit in the front seat. It stressed the importance of ensuring that seat belts for all ages are properly fastened and worn.
The Ministry, in a previous post, shared a safety advisory on social media on child seats in vehicles, emphasising the importance of not allowing children below the age of 10 to sit in the front seat of vehicles.
