Ezdan Holding Group-owned chain of hotels, namely Ezdan Hotel West Bay Towers and the five-star Ezdan Palace Hotel, have succeeded in obtaining “Qatar Clean” programme accreditation; a multi-phased programme developed as a collaborative effort by the National Tourism Council, Ministry of Public Health, and both hospitality and tourism sectors. It aims at maintaining the safety of hotel guests and workers.
The programme sets benchmarked and mandatory standards for sterilisation and disinfection for all hotel properties. Ezdan Hotels Management has observed all the guidelines mandated by the programme, which included performing staff drilling and training workers to conduct sterilisation operations for facilities daily. They were also trained to perform sanitisation for air-conditioning systems, equipment, closets, and toilets, in addition to ensuring intensive sterilisation of areas where the staff becomes in contact with guests, especially reception points & helpdesks, and other common areas.
Ezdan Hotel West Bay has shown due care and alertness to checking the temperature of all their employees daily before starting work, isolate any member with remarkable symptoms that may indicate infection, communicate regularly with the Ministry of Public Health, and apply all requirements to suppliers and guests, as well as limiting the capacity of elevators to about 30 percent maximum.
The hotel staff also employ mobile applications or other technologies to conclude deftly checking in and out procedures without contact, and to maintain a safe distance between individuals.
For its part, Ezdan Palace Hotel management assured that all measures are observed to maintain complete sterilisation of all hotel rooms and facilities, which allows guests to enjoy accommodation in tranquility and luxury, as well as applying modern techniques to serve guests and uphold maximum safety while observing social distancing.
