DOHA: Captain Mubarak Bilal, representing Ministry of Interior (MoI), yesterday said that  the preparations have been finalised to provide best possible security during the QNB Stars League (QSL) matches.

“We are ready to welcome the fans and to have their presence at the stadiums,” Bilal said during the ceremonial launch of the 2018-19 season of QSL at the W Doha Hotel yesterday.

“We want to see a high number of fans at the stadium,” he said.

“We want the fans to know that we have the most modern fleet of vehicles, equipment and the best trained police force to secure our sports venues,” he added.

“We want the fans to enjoy the QSL,” Captain Bilal said.

“We have been in training for long. We have had long but fruitful discussions and our plans are in place. We will provide every bit of help for the fans arriving at the venues,” Bilal said.

“Our arrangements vary from match to match because some regular football games and some are very important matches that are attended by fans and the VIPs. We handle every match differently but with the same level of focus and attention,” Bilal said.

“Our team members also guide fans to their seats or to their car parking slots. Everything is done with the greatest of intention to have a secure and lively atmosphere at all football venues,” he added.
