Doha, Qatar: Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs HE Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani met today with the Minister of Foreign Affairs, International Cooperation and Egyptian Expatriates of the sisterly Arab Republic of Egypt HE Dr. Badr Abdelatty, who is currently visiting the country.
During the meeting, the two sides reviewed bilateral cooperation and ways to strengthen and enhance it, and discussed the latest regional developments, particularly ongoing diplomatic efforts and joint coordination aimed at de-escalating tensions and enhancing security and stability in the region.
During the meeting, the Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs stressed the importance of all parties adhering to dialogue and diplomacy and implementing the understandings reached under the memorandum of understanding between the United States of America and the Islamic Republic of Iran, including ensuring freedom of navigation through the Strait of Hormuz, in order to safeguard regional security, preserve the gains achieved, and promote regional stability.
His Excellency also reaffirmed the State of Qatar's full support for all efforts aimed at easing tensions and reaching a comprehensive agreement that would achieve lasting peace in the region.
