Gdańsk: The State of Qatar participated in the Ukraine Recovery Conference 2026, held in Gdańsk, with high-level participation from a number of governments, international financial institutions, development partners, and private sector representatives.

The conference focused on exploring ways to support recovery and reconstruction efforts in Ukraine and strengthening international coordination in addressing the humanitarian and development impacts of the crisis.

The Qatari delegation was represented by Director General of Qatar Fund for Development (QFFD) Fahad bin Hamad Al-Sulaiti. The participation reflects the State of Qatar's commitment to continuing its support for international efforts aimed at promoting stability and development, as well as assisting communities affected by crises through effective and sustainable development partnerships.

The conference featured extensive discussions on reconstruction and recovery priorities, including support for infrastructure and essential services, strengthening resilience, mobilizing development financing, and examining the role of international institutions and development funds in supporting long-term recovery pathways.

Through its participation, QFFD emphasized the importance of joint action and coordinated efforts among international partners to ensure a more effective and sustainable response, contributing both to meeting urgent needs and supporting future reconstruction and development efforts.

This participation is part of Qatar's ongoing active role in supporting humanitarian and development causes at the international level and reflects its commitment to contributing to collective efforts aimed at mitigating the effects of crises and promoting stability and sustainable development.
