Doha, Qatar: Qatar University (QU) announces its new minimum admission requirements for undergraduate programmes, setting the minimum high school average at 75 percent, with the changes set to take effect starting in the Fall 2027 semester.

Under the updated requirements, the minimum admission average for the College of Medicine and the College of Dental Medicine will remain at 90 percent, while the minimum requirement for the College of Pharmacy will remain at 80 percent. The minimum admission average for all other colleges has been set at 75 percent.Meeting the minimum required average does not guarantee admission, as applicants must also satisfy all other admission requirements, including completing any standardised tests required by their respective colleges.

QU emphasises that the changes will not affect students applying before the new requirements come into effect. The update is part of the University’s regular review of admission policies and procedures and is being announced well in advance to provide students and parents with ample time to plan and prepare for university admission requirements. The new requirements will apply to students enrolling beginning in the Fall 2027 semester (August 2027).
