A violent explosion ripped through a residential pavilion in Magny-les-Hameaux, in the Yvelines department in France yesterday morning, leaving a mother and her three young children seriously injured.
The children are between 2 and 5 years old, authorities said. Emergency services rushed the four victims to hospital, while police sealed off the surrounding neighbourhood as a safety precaution.
Investigators are working to determine the cause of the blast, and the area remains closed as inquiries continue.
