Qatar’s Dr. Yousuf Al Kazim was elected as a Member of the Executive Office of the International Boxing Association (IBA) for the next session 2022-2026, following IBA Congress that took place in Istanbul, Turkey.
Al Kazim’s election came after his victory in the electoral process after receiving the highest votes, 71 votes from the continent of Asia.
Al Kazim thanked President of the Qatar Olympic Committee (QOC) H E Sheikh Joaan bin Hamad Al Thani for his support to the Qatar boxing federation and the other federations under the umbrella of the QOC.
The IBA elections witnessed the re-election of Russian Umar Kremlev as president of the International Boxing Association, after winning the electoral process by acclamation.
