Doha, Qatar: The Local Organising Committee for Football Events (LOC) is supporting the delivery of Match for Hope 2026, which will take place today at Ahmad bin Ali Stadium.

Hosted by Q Life, the official cultural platform of the International Media Office, in collaboration with Education Above All Foundation, the star-studded charity match will bring together global football legends and content creators to raise funds for disadvantaged youth across the Middle East, Asia, and Africa.

The LOC is overseeing the end-to-end delivery of the event across a number of functional areas, including ticketing, venue management, transport, media operations and fan experience.

Most recently, the LOC delivered a historic football season, which included the FIFA Arab Cup Qatar 2025™, the first 48-team FIFA U-17 World Cup Qatar 2025 and the FIFA Intercontinental Cup Qatar 2025™.

FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022™ venue Ahmad bin Ali Stadium has recently hosted matches during the FIFA Intercontinental Cup Qatar 2025™ and the FIFA Arab Cup Qatar 2025™, cementing Qatar's position as a global hub for major sporting events.

Match For Hope 2026 will feature an all-star line-up that included football legends Thierry Henry, Eden Hazard, Marcelo, Gerard Piqué, Andrés Iniesta, David Silva, Andrea Pirlo and Alessandro Del Piero, alongside some of the world's most influential content creators, including Chunkz, AboFlah, MrBeast and KSI.

The 2026 edition will also feature a pre-match performance by Grammy Award-winning duo The Chainsmokers and a halftime show headlined by global pop icons the Jonas Brothers.

Qatar is set to continue hosting major football events following the recent announcement of the Qatar Football Festival taking place March 26-31. The Festival will feature the participation of six international teams, including Argentina and Spain who are set to compete in the Finalissima on March 27 at the iconic Lusail Stadium.
