Doha, Qatar: The 3rd Hamba Indian Mango Exhibition, organized by the Celebrations Committee of the Private Engineering Office in cooperation with the Embassy of the Republic of India to the State of Qatar at Souq Waqif's Eastern Square, has achieved remarkable success during its first five days, recording unprecedented sales and visitor numbers that reflect the exhibition's growing popularity.
Since its opening, mango sales have reached 84 tonnes, surpassing the 56 tonnes recorded during the first five days of the previous edition. This significant increase highlights the growing demand for premium Indian mango varieties and mango-based products.
The exhibition has also welcomed more than 74,000 visitors during its first five days, compared to over 52,000 visitors during the same period last year, further reinforcing its position as one of Souq Waqif's leading seasonal events.
The impressive turnout reflects the exhibition's success in attracting visitors from across Qatar and abroad, thanks to its wide selection of premium Indian mango varieties, alongside an extensive range of mango-based products, including juices, desserts, pickles, beverages, and other specialty food items that have proven highly popular with visitors.
This year's edition features the participation of more than 35 Indian companies, showcasing some of India's finest mango varieties, in addition to a diverse selection of mango-inspired food products and culinary offerings, providing visitors with a unique cultural and gastronomic experience.
Khalid Saif Al Suwaidi, General Supervisor of the Exhibition, said that the outstanding results achieved during the first five days clearly demonstrate the remarkable success of the third edition. He noted that surpassing the previous edition's figures halfway through the exhibition reflects the growing public demand for Indian mangoes and their related products.
He added that the diversity of participating companies, the wide range of mango varieties, the introduction of innovative mango-based food products, and the exhibition's timing during the summer holiday season have all contributed to attracting large numbers of visitors. He expressed confidence that attendance will continue to grow throughout the remaining days of the exhibition.
Al Suwaidi also encouraged visitors to arrive early in the day to enjoy the finest and freshest mango varieties, which are flown in daily from India. He noted that the strong demand has resulted in some of the most sought-after varieties selling out early each day, making an early visit the best way to enjoy the full exhibition experience.
The 3rd Hamba Indian Mango Exhibition welcomes visitors daily from 4pm to 10pm and will continue until June 27, 2026 at the Eastern Square of Souq Waqif.
