Drop in temperature from Friday: Qatar Meteorology Department

Doha: According to Qatar Meteorology Department's latest weather chart, fresh to strong northwesterly wind is expected from Friday morning to Saturday evening (25/12/2020 - 26/12/2020) ranging from 12-22 KT gusting at 30 KT at times in some areas. 

Due to forecasted strong winds, blowing dust and visibility of less than 3 kilometres in some areas is expected.

Sea waves are likely to rise and will vary between 4-8 ft reaching to 12 ft at some places. 

QMD also stated that "a noticeable drop in temperature is expected especially during the night and early morning."

The maximum temperature will range between 20 degrees Celsius to 24 degrees Celsius. While the minimum temperature will range from 11 degrees Celsius to 18 degrees Celsius and may reach less than that in the southern and exterior areas. 

Due to the forecasted weather conditions on Friday and Saturday, QMD urged all citizens and residents to take extra precautions and avoid all marine activities.
