GWC , the leading logistics provider in Qatar, was presented the Enterprise Agility Award 2016 for Logistics Innovation at a ceremony organized by BNC publishing and held at The Grand Hyatt in Doha.
“We are delighted for the recognition that GWC received towards developing innovative solutions and bespoke infrastructure in line with our clients’ needs and requirements,” said GWC Director of Public Relations Abdulaziz Al Sahlawi in his acceptance speech .
In its third year since its inauguration, The Enterprise Agility Awards recognizes and honours enterprise leaders and individuals who have distinguished themselves and shown sector significance and outstanding business conduct across a variety of industries that are key drivers of respective Middle East’s economies.
“GWC continuously demonstrates the flexibility necessary to fulfill the needs of the local economy in times of change, supporting the growth of new economic sectors, while remaining true to its purpose of supporting Qatar National Vision 2030 of becoming a sustainable and diverse economy, while ensuring the best possible returns to our stakeholders,” said GWC Chairman Sheikh Abdulla bin Fahad bin Jassem bin Jabor Al Thani.
GWC continues to grow in the Qatari market, with an increase of 11 percent in its net profits, achieving QR 150m, as compared to QR135m by the end of the same period in 2015. The company’s total revenues also grew to QR634m at the end of the quarter, a 4 percent increase from QR608m in the first three quarters of 2015. The company’s assets continued to develop, with total assets reaching QR3.61bn by the end of September 2016, compared with QR2.981bn at the end of December 2015, representing a 21 percent growth.
