Doha, International Ladies Potluck Group (ILPG) organised ‘Incredible India’ event recently. The programme commenced with Shriani Burley, President of ILPG, welcoming the Chief Guest, Ritu Kumaran, wife of the Indian Ambassador to Qatar.
After a brief speech, Ritu Kumaran lit the traditional Indian lamp with members of the organising committee headed by Chandini Bahri.
A fashion show of traditional attire representing various states of India was held by the members. An Odissi dance by Bhavna Sharma Naik followed. Mughda Sarnaik, Shreya Patil and Madhulika Pradhan also performed a dance.
Food for the event included chaat and bhel, street foods from north of India, and was presented by Tanu Chopra of Maharaja Darbar.
The members and guests won prizes like vouchers from Kakori House, K108 Hotel, Stylo Salon, Sawasdee Thai Restaurant, Sawasdee Thai Spa and Salam Store.
