Doha: Doha Bank, one of the largest commercial banks in Qatar, has partnered with Habib Bank Limited (HBL), one of the leading commercial banks in Pakistan, to offer on-the-go remittance solutions to Pakistani expatriates residing in Qatar.
With the new partnership, remittances to HBL accounts will be instant and to any other bank within Pakistan in 60 minutes, demonstrating Doha Bank’s commitment to adopting new technologies aimed at providing its customers with convenient and cost-effective services.
Doha Bank’s collaboration with HBL, which promotes digital remittance among its customers, will give its Pakistani customers access to remit money to Pakistan whenever and wherever they want by registering for International Money Transfer via Doha Bank’s mobile app and online banking portal.
The new online service will enable Doha Bank customers to transfer money to Pakistan where the beneficiary can collect cash from over 1, 700 HBL branches across Pakistan. The customers can transfer money instantly to their HBL accounts and to their other Pakistani bank accounts usually within one hour, through HBL’s IBFT (interbank funds transfer) facility in Pakistan.
Under Pakistan Remittance Initiative (PRI), Doha Bank’s Pakistani customers will enjoy free-of-charge service on remittances valued over $100 to Pakistan. For remittances below $100 or multiple same day remittances, charges will apply as per PRI conditions.
The partnership with HBL is set to benefit the Pakistani Community in Qatar by providing them with the right products and services, to help them meet their banking needs in Pakistan and remit money to their home country, in a quick and convenient way.
