DOHA: Qatar’s youth football team intensified its training sessions in preparation for COTIF Football Tournament which will kick off on July 29 in L’Alcúdia, Valencia, Spain.
During the tournament, Qatar will lock horns against Valencia in their opening fixture, followed by the second match against Uruguay on July 30.
In their third match of the tournament, the Qatari youth team will play against Russian counterparts on August 2.
The COTIF tournament, originally known as L’Alcúdia International Under-20 Football Tournament, is an annual international invitational football competition for youth teams, open to both clubs and national and autonomous teams.
This year’s event will bring together 10 nations, including Argentina, where five teams will play in one group and only two of them will make it to the semi-final stage.
