Qatar’s Ambassador to Turkey H E Salim bin Mubarak Al Shafi poses for a picture with Turkey’s Minister of Youth and Sports Mehmet Muharrem Kasapoğlu, after receiving the excellence award given to Qatar at a ceremony in Ankara.
Turkish television channel Ülke TV chose the Qatar National Team for its ‘Special Award’ to honour the country’s achievements this year for winning the AFC Asian Cup and for its participation in the Copa America.
The awards ceremony saw the participation of a number of parliamentarians, governors, sports stars and sports personalities.
