Doha: Qatar’s real estate sector registered 36.9 percent increase in the value of transactions during the week ended May 8.
Total value of transactions amounted to QR885.7m during the week compared to QR647m during the previous week.
However the number of transactions decreased by 13 percent, recording 133 compared to 135 during the previous week.
Umm Salal Municipality registered the largest number of transactions implemented during this week, with the execution of 32 deals acquiring 24.1 percent of transactions implemented this week.
While Al Daayan Municipality remarkably emerged through implementing 25 transactions, noting that land lots continue to dominate transactions and represented 51.4 percent of total deals compared to 48.6 percent of other real estate over all areas.
A report predicted that property transactions will experience a revival in the coming weeks, especially in the land sector, noting that investors and real estate developers are directed towards the establishment of more new real estate projects.
