Doha: Doha British School (DBS) has announced the opening of a new primary school in Al Wakra in September.
The head of the new school will be Beverly Stevens, currently Deputy Head of Primary, DBS.
The school on the site of a previously existing school, has been awarded to DBS by the Supreme Education Council, and renovation work will take place over the summer months ahead of the opening.
Initially, Doha British School Al Wakra, as it will be known, will accommodate pupils from Reception (four-year-olds) to Year 4 (eight-year-olds).
Parents interested in applying for places for their children should access the school’s website at www.dbswakra.com for details.
DBS Principal, Terry McGuire, said, “DBS Al Wakra will offer the same high quality British curriculum education as Doha British School.
“We anticipate strong demand for places and would recommend parents to apply soon.”
