Qatar Manateq Baja round four begins today

The fourth round of the local championship Qatar Manateq Baja Rally will kick off today, with the championship set to witness the participation of local drivers as well as drivers from Kuwait, Oman and Russia.

The event will start with the technical inspection of the participating cars and the announcement of the final list of the participating teams, which are yet up to 15 contestants. The rally’s organisers will meet with drivers and their assistants to give them guidance on the rally and the paths.

Qatar Manateq Baja Rally will be held in the southern desert of Sealine with 124 km long and includes two repeated phases, the first at 9:30am and 62 km, and the second at 12.00. The fourth round is expected to witness strong competition from 15 teams to win the T1, T2 and T3 categories.

A number of leading drivers, led by Sheikh Hamad bin Eid Al Thani, Mohammed Al Meer, Mohammed Al Attiyah, Rashid Al Mohannadi, Jamal Fakhro, Abdullah Al Rabban, Ahmed Alloh, Mohammed Al Hargan and Omani Abdulaziz Al Bashir are participating.
