Doha: Tests and samples from the whale found dead in Sealine revealed that it died of starvation due to old age.
The Ministry of Environment and Climate Change (MoECC) announced today the results of the samples taken from the dead whale that was found on Friday morning, September 16, 2022.

It stated that an expert in the field of marine biology took measurements and sample from the dead female whale, which was 14-metres-long.
Results showed that the female whale died of starvation due to old age, inferred by the loss of its baleen. A baleen is a filter feeding system inside a whale's mouth that is used to strain seawater for food.
