Doha: Qatar SC has signed fresh contracts with key table tennis players Ahmed Khalil Al Mohannadi and Mohamed Abdel Wahab.
This was announced during a press conference held by the Qatar SC club, during which it also honoured the club’s table tennis squad that won the Amir Cup last month.
Al Mohannadi and Wahab have signed the contract for one year until the end of the 2020-2021 season. In a sporting gesture, Qatar SC invited club stalwart Mohammed Salem Al Mohannadi to honour the team for winning Amir Cup.
Al Mohannadi, who signed a new contract, said: “I am happy that Qatar SC has given me a new contract. The negotiations did not take time as I and the club wanted to do this. I look forward to doing well in the new season with my club.”
Khaled Al Kuwari, Head of table tennis Qatar SC, said: “We are happy to sign the new contracts with Ahmed Khalil and Mohammed Abdelwahab as we seek to continue to dominate the table tennis scene in Qatar in the next season. These two players are really good and we hope to achieve much more in the coming months.”
The press conference was also attended by Saleh Saqr Al Buainain, Faisal Al Shuaibi, Executive Director of the club, Abdullah Al Raisi, Director of Public Relations, Khaled Ali Al Kuwari, head of the club’s table tennis team, Abdel Qader Al Ariqi, the team manager, and the technical staff led by Walid Samir Abul-Fatouh and his assistants Fahd Jubran and Yasser Subhi.
