Doha: The sale of empty plots of lands dominated the real estate property transactions in terms of the total number of deals concluded during the first week of this month between May 3-7 2020.
Out of 60 real estate transactions, some 37 deals were for the vacant plots of land inked during the week with a total value of transactions at QR85.7m, while the number of transactions for ready to move buildings stood at 20 units with a combined value of approximately QR53.7 m. And other types of properties accounted for only 3 deals worth nearly QR18.7m, Ezdan Real Estate report said yesterday.
The total value of weekly deals from the sale of all kinds of properties (from 60 transactions) during the week reached at approximately QR158m, said the Ezdan report cited figures from the Real Estate Registration Department.
The deals were distributed among 7 municipalities namely, Umm Salal, Al Khor, Al Thakhira, Doha, Al Rayyan, Al Shamal, Al Daayen and Al Wakra, which included vacant land plots, multi-use buildings, multi-use space and residential buildings, and Al-Daayen Municipality accounted for the highest value transaction through the sale of land lot spanning over an area of 3400 square metres, at a price per square foot QR345, totaling around QR12.6 m.
Al-Daayen Municipality has seen the sale of a multi-use building in Jeryan Jenaihat area spreading over 1,200 square meters. The transaction was clinched at a price of QR906 per square foot, with an aggregate value of QR 11.7m, while Umm Salal Municipality witnessed the lowest real estate deal in terms of value for a vacant land lot in Umm Al-Amad area of 557 square meters at a price of square foot that did not exceed QR 200, totaling QR1.2 m.
