Kuala Lumpur: The Emir H H Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani and Prime Minister of Malaysia Mohammad Najib Tun Abdul Razzak attended the signing of a number of Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) between the governments of the two countries at the Prime Minister's office in Kuala Lumpur on Monday.
A MoU was signed for cooperation in training of diplomats and another for cooperation in the field of higher education, which aims at the exchange of experts, faculty members and students of various academic programmes among institutions of higher education, as well as the exchange of educational experiences and sources of learning.
They also attended the signing of a MoU on legal cooperation activities in the framework of the exchange of legislation and experiences and a MoU on judicial cooperation to promote bilateral judicial cooperation.
Members of the official delegation accompanying the Emir attended the signing of MoUs.
On the Malaysian side, it was attended by a number of ministers.
